Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks over 4,500 hospitals nationwide to help patients make informed healthcare decisions. These rankings evaluate performance across 15 adult specialties and 20 procedures and conditions, using data analysis and insights from more than 30,000 physicians through its annual survey.

The Best Hospitals "Expert Opinion" physician survey opens in February and runs through mid-March, playing a key role in determining hospital rankings. While participation is voluntary, your vote helps highlight the high-quality, innovative care provided at specific entities in Endeavor Health.

Voting eligibility

You are eligible to vote if you are:

  1. Board-certified in a specialty ranked by U.S. News & World Report

  2. A registered Doximity user

    Eligible specialties: Cancer, Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Neonatology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Psychiatry, Pulmonology & Lung Surgery, Rheumatology, Urology

How to vote

Physician voting is now open for the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals. Not every hospital is eligible in every specialty due to patient and procedural volumes. The survey is conducted exclusively online through Doximity. 

If you are already on Doximity:

  1. Look for an email from Doximity when voting opens
  2. Log in to your Doximity account and ensure your board certification and profile are up to date
  3. Search for “U.S. News Best Hospitals,” click the Nomination icon or tap the Submit Your Nominations button
  4. Select up to five hospitals in your specialty (or 10 for pediatric specialties)
  5. Submit your vote

If you are not on Doximity:

  1. Visit Doximity.com or download the Doximity app
  2. Search for your name in the directory
  3. Click Claim or Verify My Profile
  4. Complete the verification process (may require medical credentials or an official hospital/school email)
  5. Once registered, follow steps 3-5 above to cast your vote
