Our mission at Endeavor Health is to help everyone in our communities be their best. We conduct, support and sponsor a variety of initiatives aimed at advancing wellbeing, health equity and local economic growth. Through intentional collaboration with local partners, we invest in meeting community needs to uplift every neighbor we serve.
Community impact highlights
Our initiatives build healthier communities from the ground up, offering tailored support and resources to address the diverse needs of our communities.
Bystander CPR/AED community training event
Our February bystander CPR/AED event at Highland Park Hospital equipped community members with the skills to respond confidently to a cardiac arrest emergency. Participants engaged in hands-on bystander CPR practice with mannequins and learned how to use an AED.
Skokie Spring Greening Medication Take Back event
In collaboration with the Skokie Spring Greening organizers and Stericycle, 22 volunteers from Endeavor Health collected 55 gallons of medications and about 110 gallons of recyclable plastic and paper containers. This April event supported our ongoing commitment to community health and environmental stewardship.
Healthy Kids Challenge
This 10-week summer challenge featured a new health habit every week to inspire young people to lead healthy lives and expand their perceptions of health. Every Tuesday, campers attended a "Healthy Kids" session with a representative from Endeavor Health or The Conservation Foundation. Families received email tips to work on these habits at home, helping campers build the confidence and motivation to make healthy choices.
The Saturday morning in April started out well. A man in his late 40s did a workout, chatted with a friend, then headed home from the gym.
