Frequently asked questions
When you arrive, your condition will be quickly assessed by our triage team. You may be seen right away or asked to wait depending on the urgency of your symptoms. The most critical cases are seen first. Your visit may include an exam, imaging, lab work or a consultation with a specialist. After evaluation, your care team will determine the next steps, including whether you need to be admitted or discharged with a treatment plan.
Call 911 or visit the emergency department for life-threatening symptoms like chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or confusion, serious injuries, uncontrolled bleeding, or seizures. High fever in an infant, signs of stroke or heart attack, and suicidal thoughts also require immediate care.
Immediate Care is ideal for minor injuries, cold and flu symptoms, mild infections, or issues that don’t require advanced imaging or emergency-level care.
Not every emergency room visit results in an admission. Many patients are evaluated, treated and discharged the same day. If your condition requires further care, your emergency care team will coordinate the next steps, whether that means admission, follow-up testing or a referral to a specialist.
Endeavor Health partners closely with local emergency medical technicians and first responders to deliver high-quality care before patients even reach our hospitals. Our emergency teams provide real-time guidance to paramedics in the field and activate special alerts for time-sensitive emergencies like stroke and heart attack. We also offer continuing education for EMS professionals to ensure they are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
