What is your endeavor?

I am both a hospital pharmacist and a branding photographer. My passion for photography lets me explore a creative and interpersonal side. After pharmacy school, I pursued a master’s degree in visual design and worked as a designer. Three years ago, my son gifted me a camera which reminded me of my love for photography and encouraged me to pursue it. I specialize in crafting images that capture the essence of professionals and business. I connect with a diverse range of individuals, getting to understand their personal or corporate brands and portraying these through my photography.

Starting something new can be intimidating. I remember being hesitant to call myself a photographer out of shyness and a fear of judgment. I took a bold step announcing on my social media that I am a dreamer, striving to reach for the stars despite others saying it couldn’t be done. I created a professional photography website, defined myself as a photographer and invited my community to support my journey. The positive response has been overwhelming.

What about photography draws you?

What really draws me to photography is the chance to work with people. I love listening to their stories—learning about how they started their careers, what they enjoy about their work and future career goals. Each story is unique, inspiring me to capture the moment visually. And through my photography, I get to share these stories with other people, helping to showcase my clients’ journey.

How do you think your photography makes you better at your job?

By working with a lot of people, I’ve grown to appreciate the individual strengths of each person. I have learned the importance of respecting others and understanding, which I carry over into my pharmacy work. This mindset helps me better understand the needs of my patients and colleagues, enhancing my ability to provide compassionate care and support. And it keeps me open to learning from every interaction.
