Giving back through the EMH Foundation
For almost a century, Elmhurst Hospital employees have upheld a tradition of giving that began with student nurses in the 1920s. Through the employee annual giving fund, nearly every department contributes to advancing care and innovation — supporting projects from emergency department expansions and the Moxi robot program to the rooftop healing gardens, cancer center services, nursing development, and more.
Now, together, we are building the future. Through The Centennial Campaign for Elmhurst Hospital, your gifts will bring to life transformative projects that ensure extraordinary care for generations to come:
- Cancer care expansion: 14 new infusion bays, nearly doubling exam rooms, and an onsite pharmacy to provide life-saving treatments in comfort and with precision.
- Surgical growth: 3 new operating rooms to allow for 2,000 additional procedures annually — ending delays and eliminating waitlists for urgent care.
- Family Birthing Center expansion: 4 labor and delivery rooms means welcoming 400–500 more babies each year in facilities designed for families’ most precious moments.
- New medical office building: Improving access with pediatric, neurological, and cardiovascular services close to home.
- Innovation & technology: Advanced analytics and AI to enhance safety, MOXI robots to support staff, and state-of-the-art breast cancer screening.
- Our people: Investing in our Magnet-recognized nurses and supporting physician leadership and recruitment to continue our legacy of exceptional care and enhance patient outcomes.
The future of healthcare starts with each of you — your generosity and your belief in what we can accomplish together.
