With the help of our generous community of donors, philanthropy has made a tremendous impact on thousands of Elmhurst patients in recent years:

  • $1,000,000 for the Moxi the Robot program to support our staff by performing routine tasks like delivering medication and lab samples, allowing our nurses to spend more time on direct patient care
  • $500,000 to expand the Emergency Department to support the growing number of patients coming through our doors
  • $376,000 to support our Magnet recognized Nursing program, helping to fund new tools and equipment to keep our nurses safe, as well as provide critical education and training so they can continue to deliver care at the highest level
  • $300,000 toward the repurposing of office space to create a new, 8-bed Surgical Observation Unit for the seamless recovery of our growing number of surgery patients
  • $51,180 for IV Ultrasound vein imaging, allowing for quick and safe IV access for the patient
  • $46,825 to underwrite the Diabetes Jumpstart Your Health program
  • $26,275 for a Serenity Suite in the Family Birthing Unit to provide a place of healing for families experiencing the loss of a newborn child
  • $21,525 for our surgical oncology and breast care screening programs to improve the quality of life in recovery through rehabilitation
  • $20,000 in scholarships for our teen volunteers who are planning to pursue a degree in the healthcare field
  • $335 for car seats to help families in the Emergency Department at a critical time
