National recognition highlights a deep commitment to supporting the mental and emotional wellbeing of team members
Evanston, Ill. – Endeavor Health has been awarded the 2025 Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health Platinum Award by Mental Health America, the highest distinction granted to organizations demonstrating excellence in workplace mental health policies and practices. This national recognition underscores the organization’s compassionate and deeply integrated approach to fostering a culture of care where employees are supported as whole people, not just professionals.
The Bell Seal evaluates employers based on standards in workplace culture, benefits, mental health programs and compliance. Endeavor Health earned perfect scores in three of the four evaluation categories. Endeavor Health is proud to have a team of dedicated wellbeing support advisors who are licensed mental health clinicians providing boots-on-the-ground support to team members across the system.
“Receiving the Bell Seal is a powerful affirmation of our belief that mental health is health,” said Dianna Sparacino, Chief People Officer at Endeavor Health. “We’ve made it a priority to build systems of support that are proactive, personal and embedded in every part of our culture. This award reflects the heart of who we are.”
Over the past five years, Endeavor Health has launched 250+ wellbeing initiatives and built a tremendously effective team that includes five wellbeing support advisors who serve as mental health clinicians offering one-on-one support, group sessions and tailored guidance for both individuals and leaders systemwide. They support employees through moments of stress, burnout, grief and workplace trauma, and are often the first people colleagues turn to in times of need.
Additional highlights include:
- The RISE (Resilience in Stressful Events) Team, one-of-a-kind in Illinois and created and led by Endeavor Health’s mental health clinicians, has supported thousands of employees across the system following events like patient deaths, workplace violence and the loss of team members.
- Mental Health First Aid training taught every other week by certified instructors, with HR team members trained to recognize and respond to mental health challenges in the workplace.
- A person-centered care training program that teaches team members how to reconnect with their purpose, strengthen empathy and build more meaningful connections with both patients and peers.
- Unique supports like bereavement outreach from an RN and thanatologist who handwrites condolence letters and provides grief support to staff.
“This recognition is not the finish line—it’s a reflection of a living, breathing culture that continues to evolve,” said Lindsay Fazio, PhD, Endeavor Health System Director of Wellbeing & Vitality. “We are redefining what it means to support healthcare workers, not just in their professional roles, but in their lives.”
