EVANSTON, Ill. - Endeavor Health today announced that Deb Anderson has joined the organization as Chief Information Officer as of January 8. In this role, Anderson is charged with advancing IT strategies, including unifying the system’s IT infrastructure and EPIC platforms and furthering Endeavor Health’s vision of providing a safe, seamless and personal experience for every person, every time through innovative technologies and strategic analytics. She will report directly to Endeavor Health President and CEO J.P. Gallagher and will be a member of the system’s Executive Leadership Team. Anderson succeeds Steve Smith who retired at the end of 2023 after 32 years with the organization.

Anderson brings over 25 years of diverse technology experience, grounded in a deep understanding of industry trends and patient and consumer needs. Most recently, she served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Midwest Region of Advocate Health System where she led a team of over 1,000 professionals and oversaw clinical informatics, network and infrastructure, revenue cycle, and ancillary applications while also managing multiple strategic partnerships. She has a proven track record for coupling data-driven insights and strong stakeholder relationships that define, prioritize, and advance IT strategies to meet organizational needs. Prior to joining Advocate, Anderson led technology teams to advance innovative product development in the healthcare industry.

Anderson holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry University.
