About Liz Farwell, APN-CNS
Liz Farwell, APN-CNS, a clinical nurse specialist in gastrointestinal and general surgery at Endeavor Health, serves as bariatric coordinator for the bariatric surgery program. With more than 15 years in bariatric care and a background in cardiac surgery and intensive care, she guides patients from pre-operative preparation through long-term follow-up. Liz emphasizes patient education, advocacy and continuity of care, helping individuals feel supported throughout their weight loss journey. She values building lasting patient relationships and ensuring access to a multidisciplinary care team that fosters long-term success.

I believe in being a patient advocate and ensuring individuals feel supported throughout their bariatric surgery journey. My role includes education before surgery, close follow-up afterward and long-term guidance to help patients succeed. By working with a full care team, including surgeons, dietitians, psychologists and nurses, I aim to provide continuity of care and empower patients to achieve their goals.

I have been a patient and Endeavor Health since it was North Shore and I must say that it is some of the best healthcare I've ever had and I am from North Carolina. I was born in UNC-CH hospital and had chemotherapy, radiation, and oncology services from there. They are good no doubt. But nothing like Endeavor Health.

Very courteous, Knowledgeable and helpful went over everything I needed to hear again because sometimes we need that with a friendly voice and tone felt like I was talking to a first or second grade teacher. You can tell provider really cares about patience. I like to think her once again for taking the time to explain all the things I need to hear.

Dawn is simply amazing. She is so caring and empathic. I scheduled an appt over a holiday weekend for the Tuesday after Memorial Day and she called.me that Monday because I was concerned.about my wound. On Memorial Day she provided a virtual visit and assured me all was well. Then she went a step further and went over all my instructions and made suggestions. She is a gem, made me feel comfortable and did not minimize my concerns. Simply the best!!
