My endeavor is to ensure that when patients arrive for their delivery experience, they feel well-cared, safe, comfortable and respected, and that they leave feeling really good about the care that they’ve received.
I always try to remember that while it might be the thousandth time I’ve done something, it’s often the first time a patient is experiencing it. I take time to understand what matters to them, explain things clearly and honor their goals. I want patients to feel confident, informed and supported throughout their care.
Susan Goldsmith, MD, an obstetrician-gynecologist at Endeavor Health, provides care for patients across their life cycle, with a focus on labor and delivery. As an OB hospitalist, she supports pregnant patients during labor, delivery and the immediate postpartum period. Dr. Goldsmith works to build quick, meaningful connections in moments that may feel overwhelming, ensuring each patient feels safe, heard and supported during one of life’s most vulnerable transitions.
