My endeavor is to help my patients connect with the core wellness that is integrated in each and every one of us.
I focus on wellness-centered care, helping patients heal wounds using evidence-based treatments and the technologies available to support recovery. I work with patients to understand the factors that influence wound healing and encourage healthy lifestyle choices that can improve outcomes and prevent recurrence. My goal is to provide guidance, education and care in a way that supports long-term wellbeing and empowers patients in their healing journey.
Sumitha Panicker, MD, an internal medicine physician at Endeavor Health, provides specialized care in wound management and obesity medicine. She has practiced at Endeavor Health Edward Hospital for more than 15 years and serves as the Medical Director of the Endeavor Health Wound Clinic at Edward Hospital. Her clinical work includes treating chronic and nonhealing wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers and surgical wounds using evidence-based therapies such as debridement, compression, skin substitutes and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Dr. Panicker also supports patients in adopting healthier lifestyle practices that promote healing and long-term wellbeing.
