Our commitment to your safety
At Endeavor Health, we know that when you or a loved one comes to us for care, you're trusting us with your health and wellbeing. Our goal is to ensure that no patient experiences any preventable harm while in our care. Every doctor, nurse and care team member works together to provide safe, high-quality care and prevent harm. We are committed to continually reviewing our results, improving our practices and finding new ways to make your care safer.

National recognition and quality ratings
Independent organizations help us measure the quality and safety of our care. Their ratings and recognition programs also give you information to help make decisions about your health.
Our hospitals participate in independent evaluations by The Joint Commission to help us meet national standards for safe, high-quality care.
Our hospitals consistently earn high grades from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit that evaluates hospital patient safety.
Our nursing teams have earned Magnet recognition, one of the highest honors for nursing excellence and high-quality patient care.

Partnering with you in your care
You and your loved ones are important members of your care team. We encourage you to ask questions, share your concerns and help us improve the care we provide.
Our Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) brings patients and family members together to help improve care across Endeavor Health. Council members share their experiences and ideas to help shape patient education materials, services and changes that affect patients and families.
Interested in getting involved? Send us an email to learn more about joining the council. Include your name, contact information and the Endeavor Health hospital or service you use.
Your feedback helps us understand what's working well and where we can improve. Our Patient Experience and Advocacy team is here to listen to your compliments, concerns and feedback about the care you or a loved one received. The team can also help address concerns and work with others at Endeavor Health to find solutions.
Your voice is an important part of keeping you safe. We want to understand what matters most to you and make sure you feel informed about your care. Ask questions about why a medicine or test is needed, talk with your care team about your treatment plan and speak up if something doesn't feel right. Your questions and concerns help us provide care that meets your needs.
How we measure quality & safety
We track important measures to understand how well we care for patients and where we can improve. These measures help us focus on what matters most to your health and safety.
We actively prevent accidental injuries, complications, and falls so you can heal in a safe and secure environment.
We follow safety practices to help prevent infections after surgery and during hospital stays.
We track patient recovery, serious complications and survival rates to help improve our care.
We measure the quality and safety of care during pregnancy, childbirth and recovery.
We help you prepare to leave the hospital with the medicines, follow-up care and support you need.
We listen to patient feedback and track how well we communicate, coordinate care and treat patients with respect.
Preventing falls is an important part of keeping you safe during your hospital stay. Falls can cause injuries that delay your recovery.
Our care teams take steps to reduce your risk of falling so you can heal and return home safely. You and your loved ones play an important role in preventing falls, too.
How we help prevent falls
- Check your risk of falling when you're admitted.
- Keep your call button and personal items within reach.
- Use bed alarms when needed.
- Provide equipment to help you move safely.
How you can help
- Tell your care team if you've fallen or nearly fallen before.
- Use your call button and wait for help before getting out of bed.
- Wear the non-slip socks or footwear provided.
- Tell your nurse if you feel dizzy, weak or unsteady.
- Use walkers, canes or handrails as directed by your care team.
How we're doing at preventing falls
We track falls that result in injury to help us measure and improve patient safety. We measure the number of falls with injury for every 1,000 days patients spend in our hospitals combined. A lower rate means fewer falls with injury.
Our results show that Endeavor Health's rate is lower than the national benchmark.
- Endeavor Health: 0.53 falls with injury per 1,000 patient days
- National benchmark: 0.60 falls with injury per 1,000 patient days
