Eating disorders are among the most fatal psychiatric diseases. It's estimated that 28.8 million Americans will have an eating disorder in their lifetime, and one person dies from the condition every 52 minutes, according to the National Eating Disorders Association. Given the prevalence and severity, awareness of specialized treatment options is critical for the healthcare community.

About our eating disorders program

The nationally recognized Eating Disorders Program at Endeavor Health provides expert, compassionate care for adolescents and adults, ages 11 and older. Our multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and dietitians—addresses the hidden symptoms and complexities of these conditions.

We offer a full continuum of care to meet your patients where they are, including inpatient hospitalization, PHP/IOP programs, counseling, and medication management. We treat a variety of conditions, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, and body image disorders.

Our treatment philosophy

Our approach is highly individualized, focusing on the impact of mood on eating behaviors. We use evidence-based therapies to help patients develop healthy coping skills and reduce inappropriate eating or compensatory behaviors.

  • Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E). Specifically targets the psychological patterns that maintain eating disorders.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Helps patients build skills in emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
  • Expressive Therapy. Uses creative outlets like art and music to process emotions that are difficult to verbalize.

Our nutrition philosophy

We focus on healing and repairing the relationship between food and the body. Our nutrition programming provides a safe, therapeutic space for patients to increase nutritional intake and reduce eating disorder behaviors while engaging with supportive skills and interventions. The goal is to establish a foundation of healthy functioning and a lifestyle of overall wellness.
