Dave Rahija serves as President of Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital (NCH) and also serves as the Endeavor Health Neurosciences Institute and Surgical Services Executive. His over 25 years of healthcare industry experience includes administration, operations, acute and post-acute care delivery and a demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and diversity.
Rahija joined the organization in 2009 as part of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) serving as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Glenbrook Hospital and then launching the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute while President of Endeavor Health Skokie Hospital before his current role as President of Endeavor Health Medical Group Operations. Rahija led the 2019 transformation of Skokie Hospital into a nationally ranked orthopaedic hospital and Illinois’ only specialty hospital for orthopaedic and spine patients. More recently, Rahija was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the system Endeavor Health Medical Group as President of operations, overseeing more than 300 care sites and a team comprising of over 2,500 physicians and advanced practice providers. He played a crucial role in the strategy and clinical operations across the system's Medical Group Institutes and Clinical Service Lines.
Prior to joining Endeavor Health NorthShore, Rahija held leadership roles at Sinai Health System and Sherman Health, beginning his career as a physical therapist and then expanding to include progressive leadership responsibility for operations, clinical service lines, quality improvement, patient and team member engagement, regulatory compliance and strategic growth.
Rahija is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine Dean’s Advisory Board and volunteers for various community organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Saint Louis University. He also earned an MBA with a concentration in healthcare management from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.
Rahija grew up in the Northwest Community Hospital service area and is dedicated to the health and vitality of the Chicagoland community. He is a proud husband and father to two sons. Performing and listening to music is a big part of Rahija’s household, and he believes the arts, sports and community involvement are key to healthy people and communities.
