Neil Freedman, MD is President, Specialty Care, Endeavor Health Medical Group and a practicing clinician who is board certified in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
Most recently, Dr. Freedman served as President of NorthShore Medical Group, where he led more than 1,200 physicians in a multi-specialty physician practice. He has played an integral role in the strategic planning and development of what is now the Endeavor Health Medical Group. He previously served in several leadership roles within NorthShore University Health System, including division head of pulmonary and critical care medicine from 2014-2023, Vice President of Acute and Post-Acute Care Integration from 2019-2021, Senior Vice President of NorthShore Medical Group from 2021-2022 and President of the Professional Staff from 2020-2022.
Nationally, Dr. Freedman serves on the Board of Regents, is Chair of the Finance Committee and is a member of the Health Policy and Advocacy Committee for the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP). He was recently elected as the President Designate and will serve as President of the ACCP in 2026. He has served as a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) pulmonary board writing committee and currently Chairs the Longitudinal Knowledge Assessment Committee for pulmonary medicine for ABIM. He has been recognized for his educational contributions with the Excellence in Education Award from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Distinguished Chest Educator Award from the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Freedman earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York) and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
