Shivani Bautista, JD, serves as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Endeavor Health and is responsible for the strategy and oversight of all legal matters across the organization as well as, compliance, enterprise risk management and the system’s insurance programs and captive. In addition, she provides counsel on various regulatory priorities and advises the System and Affiliate Boards on matters related to corporate governance and strategic transactions.

A trusted legal executive and advisor, Bautista is known for her ability to integrate informed legal, compliance and risk perspectives into both operational and strategic decision-making. She leads with a collaborative mindset, building early and open dialogue to help teams navigate complex challenges and support growth, innovation and the delivery of best-in-class patient care.

Under her leadership, Endeavor Health has established the “CLIER” Team (Compliance, Legal, Insurance, and Enterprise Risk) to ensure a fully integrated, efficient operating model structured around core areas of focus and guiding principles for all Endeavor team members to act with a CLIER view.

Since joining NorthShore University HealthSystem in 2018, Bautista has helped lay the foundation for Endeavor Health’s systemwide legal and compliance infrastructure. She has also partnered with service line and administrative teams on implementation of various tools to create standardized and efficient processes for policy alignment, contract review and outside counsel management, among others.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Bautista is actively involved in the legal and healthcare communities. She has been featured as a speaker at industry events, such as the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys' Annual Health Law Symposium and Northwestern Kellogg Business of Healthcare Annual Conference. She has been a long-time advocate for individuals and families impacted by gender-based violence, representing pro bono clients in state and immigration courts related to such issues.

She holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
