Northwest Community Hospital Emergency Department has achieved the following designations and certifications:

  • Level II trauma center
  • Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) pediatric facility designation: Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP)
  • Det Norske Veritas (DNV) stroke certification: Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) certification

Pediatric acute care 

Our Pediatric Acute Care Center, located adjacent to the emergency department, specializes in treating infants, children and teens for acute conditions and injuries. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
