Evanston, Ill. – Endeavor Health℠ today announced that Lucy Kim will join the organization as its inaugural Chief Development Officer as of August 19, 2024. In this role, Kim will spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive philanthropic strategy for Endeavor Health, focusing on solidifying and growing Endeavor Health’s presence across a diverse donor base. Leading the system’s five local Foundations, Kim will optimize the Foundations’ operational infrastructure, introduce innovative approaches and integrate best practices that will amplify the impact in each distinct community and across the system. She will report directly to Endeavor Health’s President of South Region and Institutes, Joe Dant.

Kim brings over 18 years of philanthropic advancement experience at the leadership level. Most recently, she served as the Chief Advancement Officer for Chicago Public Media, home of WBEZ and the Chicago Sun-Times, leading the Development and Membership teams and serving as the chief fundraising strategist and partner to the CEO and Board chair. Kim and her team raised a record-breaking number of gifts for Chicago Public Media, including $61 million to acquire the Sun-Times, bringing together a daily metro newspaper and a public radio station for the first time.
Prior to joining Chicago Public Media, she led fundraising efforts as the Vice President of Development for The Brookings Institution, a nonprofit organization in Washington D.C. whose mission is to conduct in-depth, nonpartisan research to improve public policy and governance at all levels. Kim’s additional experience includes fundraising leadership roles across Harvard University including the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Kim holds a Master of Education in Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, as well as a Master of Music from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Music from Boston University.
