About Daphne Vander Roest, MD
Daphne Vander Roest, MD, a pediatric hospitalist at Endeavor Health, cares for children at both Swedish Hospital and Evanston Hospital. She rounds with residents on the pediatric floor, attends high-risk deliveries, supports healthy newborn care and consults in emergency rooms. Dr. Vander Roest is committed to guiding families through challenging moments, aiming to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that supports each family's values and promotes patient comfort.

Care philosophy
I believe in family-based care that uses evidence-based guidelines and quality improvement metrics to guide treatment. But above all, the most important thing we can do is support families and their values while caring for their children through hospitalization and acute care.
