I had X-rays taken by very competent and kind staff, and then I saw Dr. Hoeper. All staff were kind, patient and caring. Dr. Hoeper explained to me what he saw on the X-rays. He was responsive, and a good listener. I am always conscious of being an older adult who has multiple health conditions and disabilities as sometimes I am not treated by providers with dignity. Dr. Hoeper did treat me with compassion and dignity for which I am grateful. [...] also was terrific as well!There is a good deal of ableism noted from some of my experiences with providers which Includes doctors, NPs and nurses but I did not feel that ableism directed to me with Dr. Hoeper. I am also a strong self-advocate as I do not consider myself custodial or palliative; I expect to have equal access to quality healthcare. I was provided with pain medication where the RX was called into my pharmacy, and I was referred to Pain Management Services and to a Hip Replacement Specialist. I have already made all of the appointments needed. Endeavor has thousands of patients who are over 65. Many of us are disabled. My expectation of care includes Evaluation and Treatment if treatment is available. I appreciate Dr. Hoeper getting that started for me. I like that he wrote an order for PT and wants to see me in six weeks. I hope the PT works but am not sure it will. Dr. H was very thorough. I had a bit of a wait and Dr. H apologized. Not a big deal though.
