My thumb is now more flexible, and the fluid is still in my hand towards the wrist. Positively, we had arrived a little early for the appointment, sat down in the waiting area and were immediately taken in for my appointment. What a pleasant surprise to be called early!!!I realize that arthritis will always be bothering me , and now I know to expect pain from the shot, I guess being healthy for so many years, I must now learn what others learned years ago. Cortisone shots are very painful to receive in already painful areas.Of course I am grateful for every Doctor . They have spent years becoming successful in their area. Thankfully , I have not needed their services. I take a conservative approach to hand surgery, starting with nonoperative measures like therapy whenever possible. Surgery becomes an option only when those treatments fail. My goal is to help patients return to their daily activities with confidence and comfort.
Seth Levitz, MD, a hand and upper extremity surgeon at Endeavor Health, treats a wide range of conditions from the elbow to the fingertips.
