I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent appointment with Dr. Pirozhnik. As a long-time patient of this practice, I scheduled an annual exam with her as she was the first available physician following my previous doctor's relocation out of state.To begin with, the medical assistant who called me back was prompt, friendly, and helpful. As a medical professional myself, I truly appreciated her welcoming demeanor.However, after being escorted to the exam room and changing into a paper gown, I waited 50 minutes in an uncomfortable exam chair before the doctor arrived. When Dr. Pirozhnik entered, she was rushed, did not introduce herself despite this being our first meeting, and did not acknowledge the long wait.She proceeded to pull up her stool and asked, "What's going on?" Honestly, I was taken aback by her forward and abrupt questioning. When I attempted to discuss a common concern related to menopause, her response was to shrug her shoulders and abruptly state, "There's nothing you can do about that," without asking any follow-up questions. She then performed the exam so quickly that I noted that she was in and out of the room in just six minutes. She concluded by stating she would order a mammogram for the fall, and said she would see me in a year all while she was washing her hands, and left.I left the appointment feeling completely dismissed. I was not given the time or space to discuss my health concerns, and I felt that my questions were not taken seriously. As a long-time patient of this practice, this was particularly disappointing and, honestly, the worst experience I have ever had with a physician. Women's health is incredibly important, and I left feeling like a number rather than a patient receiving quality care.I hope this feedback is taken into serious consideration to improve the patient experience at your practice. I have valued this practice as a long-time patient, which is why I felt it was important to share my experience candidly.

After my ultrasound, I got a called from my doctor's office; Dr. Piroshnik to make an appointment for a biopsy. I asked why they wanted to do a biopsy and the nurse said because of the ultrasound results and make sure that there are not cancerous cells . I Was concerned thinking that I may have cancerous cells. Then on the day of the scheduled biopsy, the doctor told me that I didn't need a biopsy based on my symptoms. I ended up a little confused. I hope that doctor was right. I don't understand why they cancelled this procedure and was not notified before.Also, my prescription was not ordered on the same day.

Have seen Dr. Pirozhnik exclusively for two decades now. I've been a patient of a fair number of ob/gyn in my lifetime so I have a basis of comparison. She is professional and personable and I am completely comfortable under her care. I actually look forward to this typically dreaded annual appointment.
