I was being seen elsewhere and still in serious pain for months. Dr. Zhang basically walked in the room and diagnosed my condition. I was on medications that day and significantly improved by the end of the next day. He explained the condition, treatment, prognosis and also did a followup call. He is caring and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr Zhang.

For months I saw other doctors and was told my pain was "just osteoarthritis" and there was nothing more to do for it. Dr. Zhang was recommended by my physical therapist. He immediately diagnosed and began treating a different condition. He also explained medications and what to expect then followed up to monitor and adjust treatment. The pain relief was Immediate and significant. So greatful for his help and would definitely recommend.

It's not an exaggeration to say Dr. Zhang saved my life. He has been so patient with me, listening to all 1,000 of my symptoms, getting me the right tests, medications, treatments, and referrals. I always like getting referrals to other providers from him, he's helped me build a team of providers who know what they're doing and actually want to help. Dr. Zhang thinks of things I don't think of, genuinely does research if he doesn't know an answer to one of my questions, and is so on top of all the latest info out there. He also answers mychart messages thoroughly and quickly, in a way that is helpful. That's more than I can say of a lot of other doctors. He's open to suggestion and doesn't make me fight for answers or options. He openly shares all the scientific reasoning behind why he's saying what he's saying. He doesn't expect me to just take his word for it. He has so much humility and recognizes this is my life we're messing with, not his.

Most importantly, besides his expertise in Rheumatology, he has treated me as a person and not just as one more number.He feels the physical and emotional pain that comes from chronic diseases like all auto immune diseases. He discusses both these aspects as he treats me . I know it helps me tremendously when I realize that my doctor believes me when I share my symptoms with him. Many years ago in a [...] Clinic health letter it was noted for patients to find a Rheumatologist who has certain qualities. I wrote to them to find me one. Of course I never heard from them.More than a decade later I found one in SC and now here in Edward medical group. My daughter recommended him to me.Knowing that your doctor cares means a lot to a patient.
