The dream of a community hospital for the people of the northwest suburbs began with a door-to-door fundraising campaign led by local citizens during the post-war boom of the 1950s.

Today, some of those early supporters still reside in the communities surrounding Northwest Community Hospital. They have witnessed and generously grown this once-small community endeavor into a world-class healthcare organization.

Cancer Center

At Northwest Community Hospital, we’re enhancing every aspect of our exceptional programs, physicians, care teams and support services to ease and improve each step of a patient’s journey — especially when it’s frightening or uncertain. By viewing care through the eyes of patients and their families, we’re reimagining what care looks like, where it happens and how it’s delivered. Your partnership and ideas are vital in shaping this vision and bringing it to life.

Neurosciences

Our neuroscience program includes world-class specialists who use the latest technological advancements in robotics, mapping and artificial intelligence to provide personalized and expert neurological care in a seamless, patient-centered environment. Your gift will support this multi-dimensional program, collaborative team of specialists and innovative technology for the treatment of brain, head, neck and spine conditions and disorders.

Community outreach

Some of our many outreach initiatives that rely on your support include our Mobile Dental Clinic, Community Resource Center, community health worker and community nurses. These programs help under-resourced individuals, older adults and other vulnerable populations who often have difficulty accessing and navigating the healthcare system.

Employee and staff education

Your gift provides opportunities for nurses, technicians, therapists and other staff to enhance their formal education, receive advanced certifications or attend seminars and conferences. Continuous education converts to cutting-edge skills that are put to work in providing the best care for our patients.
