Evanston, Ill. – Endeavor Health℠ is now accepting applications for its 2025 Community Investment Fund (CIF) awards. Endeavor Health plans to distribute up to $10 million in 2025 through a combination of new “Capacity Builder” awards and ongoing multiyear awards for partners previously announced. The Capacity Builder awards will go to local partners committed to advancing impact in three areas of focus: 1) Access for behavioral healthcare, 2) Social determinants of health focused on food and housing insecurity and 3) Workforce Development training for careers in healthcare. Applications will be accepted through August 23, 2024. Since its creation in 2022, the CIF has awarded more than $21.4 million to 47 local partnerships dedicated to enhancing community health and wellbeing, advancing health equity and supporting local economic growth.
“This initiative allows us to extend our care beyond our walls and into the community, lifting up vital resources that address social determinants of health,” said Kristen Murtos, Chief Innovation and Transformation Officer for Endeavor Health. “By partnering with local organizations, we are providing holistic care for our community to foster a healthier and more equitable future.”
Endeavor Health’s CIF awards have enabled partnerships to have a tremendous impact in their local communities. For instance, the Friendship Center food pantry has transformed its space into a welcoming and dignified grocery store-like environment, expanding its food-rescue program and connecting clients to essential social services. ASPIRE Lake County hosted a Healthcare Discovery Day, where high school students explored healthcare careers through hands-on activities and interactions with Endeavor Health team members. Greater Family Health opened a new location in Franklin Park, including a new pediatric practice, to expand the reach of its inclusive and culturally sensitive care.
