Dr Massel was very thorough in checking my upper arm, shoulder and neck problem, listened very carefully, was caring, he spent good amount of time explaining what was wrong and what was needed to be done. Very smart and serious about his work. I asked him questions and he answered all of them. This was my first visit with him. Listened to my complaint about pain, when it occurred, and the intensity of pain. Dr. Massel ordered CT-Scan and MRI to try to learn source of my pain. In addition, he prescribed two medicines to address the pain. The meds to be taken in sequence after one is completed and if pain still exists. Both doctor and his nurse showed absolute interest in my health and concerns. I know I made the right choice in spinal surgeon.

Doctor Massel Is an orthopedic surgeon. I personally hope he remains with Endeavor for some time. His compassionate approach, understanding of the patient needs, and insecurities is almost prodigious. I have seen many doctors through North Shore, but none who engaged in conversation with me about my health issues in his unique manner. Dr. Massel focus was not simply on the symptoms but the root of the problem. He did not dismiss my years of concerns but provided additional resources I was unaware of. Thank you, Dr. Massel, for listening to me, for clearly communicating to me, for providing me information that I was not aware of, and most importantly respecting my concerns. Lastly, discussing the merits of recording notes as opposed to writing them .
