My doctor is wonderful. She has always listened to me and I have never felt rushed. Dr Wehlus is leaving because if all the corporate nonsense she has to put up with. She wants to be a great doctor and take care of her patients as best she can. Medicine has changed so much for the worse since I became a nurse. She is a fantastic doctor and your push for to see more patients in less time is contributing to burning doctors out, as well as nurses. Now after 15 years of seeing Dr wehlus I need to find a new doctor. .

I have been with Dr Wehlus for 15 years or so. She is intelligent, caring shows concerns for patients. She suggested to me ways to reduce my A1C when it was pretty high. She does not push medications as the only way to control lifestyle. In my case , medications were the last resort to loose weight and control my A1C score. I have lost 35 lbs reached a plateau and kept the A1C at 5.7 for over 1 year now

Dr.Wehlus is a caring and compassionate physician. I had some concerns over a medication that I was currently taking, and Instead of just changing the prescription, she took the time to to schedule an in-person meeting. We discussed all of options and she recommended a different medication. She even made a chart to help me wean off the old prescription.
