About Joseph Messer, MD

Joseph Messer, MD, a cardiologist at Endeavor Health, has cared for patients with heart disease for more than four decades. He primarily sees older adults and brings a thoughtful, respectful approach to each visit. In addition to seeing patients part-time, Dr. Messer also mentors cardiology fellows, sharing his clinical expertise and lifelong dedication to treating every patient with dignity.

Care philosophy

I grew up in a small farm town, and the values I carry into medicine come from there. Some people may call them old fashioned, but I don’t think there’s anything outdated about treating each patient with dignity and respect. I start by asking, “How can I help you?” I want to hear how patients feel about their problems—that helps me better understand how to care for them.
