Mark Drexler, MD, a family medicine physician at Endeavor Health, provides primary care across the lifespan. He builds long-term relationships with patients and families and supports them through every stage of life. Dr. Drexler is also a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine, where he mentors residents and conducts research on improving primary care delivery and patient outcomes.

This visit was an integral part of my ongoing Endeavor preventive health care. Dr. Drexler has been my Family Medicine provider for the last 30 years and has been unwavering in his focus on smart, coordinated, preventive-care actions. In particular, the focus of my health management has cycled around the triad of 1) blood pressure/fitness, 2) cholesterol mitigation/weight, and 3) A1C/glucose/pre-diabetes management. So each day I am aware of how my lifestyle affects these health parameters. For the past 6-months, I've been working on my physical fitness and blood pressure. This current check-up with Dr. Drexler verified that I've made great improvements in B/P, fitness (stairs/mobility), lung function, and mental acuity. Now I have to work on weight loss. But since my general fitness has improved, my gym/exercise duration can lengthen, hopefully reducing my weight before my next examination. Also, all my vaccinations are current along with my other wellness checks like eye, hearing, neurological, and dermatology examinations. These are all part of my comprehensive care through Dr. Drexler. The upshot is that I do not amass massive and unnecessary medical-care expenditures. Across my health spectrum, Endeavor has provided superb, cost-effective care for me; I don't think it could be any better. So I'm trying to be a good partner in my own health management. Overall, Dr. Drexler has kept me healthy for the last 30 years. I remember how we started down this pathway three decades ago-and now we're here.

For over 30 years I've been seeing Dr. Drexler. I receive world-class care from him. At age 73, I'm still alive and well. We've been focused extensively on my preventive care. Thus I make minor adjustments, year-by-year, to my health management to minimize health expenditures. I follow all of Dr. Drexler's advice, and strive to be a good partner to his management plan. We're on a five year plan to maintain my geriatric health in: 1) Blood pressure and exercise, 2) Cholesterol's and cardiac health, and 3) A1C and glucose control. I can certainly see the progress of my ongoing healthcare adjustments. Dr. Drexler is a good explainer, so I have a clear understanding of my health-management elements. All my physician-visits reports coordinate through Dr. Drexler, so my care is centralized-which is the predominant reason I regard my Endeavor care as world class. My twice-yearly visits with Dr. Drexler are comprehensive. Yet, if I have any interim questions or need prescription renewals, I can readily contact him through North Shore Connect-he is quite responsive. This visit I received the latest pneumonia vaccine, so he effectively uses the EPIC system to coordinate all aspects of my care. Overall, I couldn't receive better, more-effective healthcare anywhere else than through Endeavor. Thank you.

This annual wellness check was perhaps the best I have had in many years. Dr. Drexler is thorough, asks good questions, listens well, and is very responsive - all while being both efficient and unrushed. I came in with a list of five concerns, expecting some of them to be deferred to subsequent appointments. Instead, Dr. Drexler addressed each of them thoroughly and gave me appropriate referrals, lab, and imaging orders. He also gave me medical advice on subjects which were very pertinent to me. Plus, Dr. Drexler helped me significantly in how to have seamless provider service when I permanently relocate to this area. I sincerely appreciate how much value he delivered to me in just one appointment.
