The medical assistant said he'd be in shortly after she did the initial intake, but never came back to explain the long delay.

I was brought back to exam room my vitals were taken and I was told "Doctor will be with you shortly" which couldn't be farther from the truth. Dr Alavi tends to run late and I waited in the exam room 1 hour, he finally came in and was apologetic. There's no excuse for staff not to check in and update the patient, especially when the wait is so long!
