On [...], I called Dr.Shah's office at 8 am due to new symptoms on my my right eye, I saw black spots and spiders webs. The phone representative told me that Dr.Shah was not working that day and I may see a different doctor. I told her that yes, however would like to hear Dr.Shah's option since he has been my eye doctor for so many years and I trust him. Around 9 am, I received a call from the office that Dr. Shah will see me at 3:15 pm. I went at 3:15 pm and it turned out that there was a little tear on my retina and Dr.Shah repaired it. Office staff told me that was Dr.Shah's day off yet he came to see two patients that had medical emergency including me.

Dr. Shah went over and above what I expected when I switched Retinologists. My previous Retinologist sent my records to him, but he explained that those records do not include films. He not only reached out to my previous Retinologist, but called me to let me know that when he did, my retinal abnormality had not changed. He also requested an earlier appt with an ophthamologist I was scheduled to see.

Dr. Shah is amazing, he's truly a kind and caring doctor/person from the inside out. He's very hands on and will actually get on the phone and speak with a patient, he'll also help patients into their wheelchair, he doesn't wait for someone else to do it. Dr. Shah has been an incredible doctor in the treatment of my eye after a serious injury to my retina. He stayed late after hours when he needed to perform an emergency laser surgery to repair my torn retina. He continued to carefully monitor my progress until it was eventually healed. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a retinol specialist.

I'm really glad Dr. Shah was so insistent on my Saturday emergency visit. Had he not personally called me twice (after hours) the evening before the visit, I probably would have waited until the following week to be seen--and I probably would have had a retinal detachment by then. He did a very thorough exam of both of my eyes and found a small but serious retinal tear in one of them. He then promptly lasered it so that it doesn't get larger, and he called me a few days later to see how I was doing. He really went above and beyond and he saved my vision in that eye. Excellent, personalized care! Thank you, Dr. Shah!
