I honestly am searching for another doctor, as this one is just too young for me, and I'm not feeling a great vibe from him any longer. Too much of a rush to get me out of the medical room. I feel he doesn't emphasize with my medical issues, and offers no solutions as to how I can ease my pain.

Dr. Shaikh responds quickly to online messages. He made time to see me to address my current health problems. He is a great listener and takes the time to listen to all my symptoms/ concerns. And then he proposes a treatment plan, making sure I understand why each test, medication is being ordered. He is extremely thorough and looks at my health history, current ailments when choosing a treatment. He is very patient and comforting; makes me feel all will be well, no matter how bad I feel at the time. I feel heard and seen by Dr. Shaikh, which is nice. He is never dismissive, allows me to ask and understand everything. I really appreciate that.

This visit was particularly good because Dr. Shaikh reinforced that the objective of good A1C numbers and good weight maintenance to control diabetes both of which are my responsibility. I felt he was genuinely concerned for my well being and I came home with his message resonating in my brain. I guess I had forgotten the seriousness of diabetes and needed that reminder.
