Endeavor Health’s fellowship-trained rhinologists provide expert care for nasal, sinus and skull base conditions, including disorders affecting the area between the nasal cavity, eyes and brain.
Our team uses advanced imaging and minimally invasive, computer-assisted techniques to treat conditions ranging from chronic sinus disease to pituitary tumors and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks. We collaborate with neurosurgery and other specialists to determine the most appropriate treatment approach for your condition.

Rhinology focuses on conditions of the nose and sinuses that affect breathing, smell and quality of life.
Conditions we treat:
- Chronic sinusitis
- Fungal sinusitis
- Nasal obstruction/deviated nasal septum
- Nasal polyps
- Nosebleeds
- Tear duct obstruction
Skull base conditions
Skull base surgery addresses conditions involving the thin layer of bone that separates the sinuses from the brain.
Conditions we treat:
- Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks
- Benign and malignant skull base tumors
- Pituitary tumors
Our otolaryngologists begin with a detailed history and physical exam to understand your symptoms and prior treatments.
- Nasal endoscopy: Allows direct visualization of nasal and sinus passages and is typically performed comfortably in the office.
- CT scan: May be ordered to evaluate the full extent of disease or to plan surgical treatment.
- Allergy testing: Can help identify triggers that contribute to chronic inflammation.
This comprehensive evaluation helps determine the right treatment plan for your needs.
Our otolaryngologists specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of nasal and sinus conditions.
- Endoscopic sinus surgery
- Balloon sinuplasty
- Septoplasty
- Turbinate reduction
- Nasal polyp removal
Skull base surgery
Our otolaryngologists specialize in endoscopic skull base surgery, a minimally invasive approach that allows many complex conditions to be treated through the nose. We work closely with neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists and other specialists to manage sino-orbital and skull base disorders.
Treating sino-nasal and pituitary tumors
We have extensive experience diagnosing and treating both benign and malignant tumors of the nose, sinuses and skull base. In many cases, even large tumors can be removed using an endoscopic approach through the nose, avoiding open surgery.
Pituitary tumors are treated in close collaboration with neurosurgery using minimally invasive techniques.
Treating cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks and encephaloceles
A cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak occurs when the protective lining around the brain is disrupted, allowing fluid to escape into the sinuses.
In the past, repairing these leaks required external skull incisions and brain retraction. Today, we can often identify and repair the leak using minimally invasive endoscopic techniques through the nose.
Endoscopic orbital procedures
In partnership with ophthalmologists, we perform minimally invasive procedures including:
- Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR)
- Orbital decompression
- Optic nerve decompression
Why Endeavor Health?
Our sinus and skull base program is led by fellowship-trained surgeons and supported by a multidisciplinary team. Established in 2007, it was the first program in northern Chicagoland to deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care for sinus and skull base disorders by fellowship-trained otolaryngologists. Additionally, as a leading sinus care practice in the region, we have become a referral destination for patients who have had previously failed sinus surgery.
Subspecialists with advanced training in nasal and sinus care treat both routine and complex conditions.
We provide a coordinated evaluation and treatment with allergy/immunology, pulmonology, rhinology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology and maxillofacial experts.
We offer in-office nasal endoscopy, CT imaging and computer-assisted surgical navigation for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Our experts are skilled in performing endoscopic sinus and revision surgery for persistent or complex disease.
The program was founded in 2007 as the first comprehensive sinus and skull base program in northern Chicagoland led by fellowship-trained otolaryngologists. Today we welcome over 5,000 patient visits annually.

Clinical trials & research
Endeavor Health’s sinus and skull base team participates in ongoing research to improve diagnosis and treatment. Through our clinical trials, patients may have access to studies on new imaging tools, medications, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Your care team can discuss eligibility and options that fit your diagnosis and goals.
