I was referred to Dr. Ruzumna following an unexpected atrial fibrillation episode surrounding a recent surgery. I had never experienced heart issues before, so the diagnosis was unsettling. I came in feeling anxious and uncertain about what this meant for my health going forward. From the very first visit, Dr. Ruzumna's calm, confident, and reassuring presence made an unsettling situation manageable with confidence. He thoroughly explained what atrial fibrillation is, why it can occur in circumstances like mine, and carefully outlined the available options and specific next steps. I left understanding both the diagnosis and the plan, which brought peace of mind.The exams were comprehensive, and my testing was reviewed carefully and discussed clearly. Dr. Ruzumna's thoughtfulness and patience in responding to questions stood out - I never felt rushed, and every concern was addressed thoughtfully and thoroughly.The office reflects the same level of professionalism and care. The staff and medical personnel were efficient, organized, and genuinely kind. The staff collected my vitals and health history and was caring, thorough, and compassionate throughout.As soon as my results were available, someone from the office called to explain them and outline next steps, and Dr. Ruzumna personally followed up as well. This was my first visit to a cardiologist. I had a cardiac issue pre and post a recent surgery for a wrist fracture and was directed to see a cardiologist as soon as possible. Made an appointment with Dr. Ruzumna. Dr. Ruzumna took time to explain and clarify all questions and concerns that I had regarding my health issues. He was reassuring. He ordered some further tests and created a follow up plan. The staff at the practice were very professional. Staff members at the desk were efficient and professional and compassionate with all patients with whom they interacted. The nurses and clinicians who assisted me prior to my visit with Dr. Ruzumna were very knowledgeable, compassionate, kind and had a great sense of humor. That went a long way to ease the anxiety I was feeling prior to the visit. I left my appointment feeling totally confident in the care I received and will receive from Dr. Ruzumna in the future.
