Whether you're coming in for your first mammogram or have questions about your risk, our team is here with the latest in imaging, genetic testing and coordinated care. We offer fast, accurate results and personalized options based on your needs and history.

We follow national guidelines to support early detection with screening services, risk assessments and education on how to lower your lifetime risk for breast cancer.
What we offer:
- Prevention counseling: Lifestyle, family history and education on modifiable risk factors
- Annual 3D mammography: Starting at age 40 for most patients, or earlier for those at higher risk
- Automated breast ultrasound (ABUS): For people with dense breast tissue
- MRI screenings: When recommended based on risk assessment
Types of breast imaging
Advanced imaging to detect abnormalities earlier and reduce unnecessary callbacks.
Used alongside mammograms to improve detection in people with dense breast tissue.
Recommended for high-risk patients or to evaluate concerns detected during screening.
Many locations offer same-day mammogram results, next-day biopsy scheduling and advanced diagnostic capabilities like stereotactic or MRI-guided biopsies.
At select locations*, patients scheduled for a mammogram can complete a breast health assessment (BHA) to evaluate inherited risk. If eligible, you may be offered genetic testing through a saliva sample during your visit.
Available tests include:
- Hereditary cancer panel: Evaluates 36 genes tied to cancers including breast, colon, ovarian, and uterine
- Genetic health screen: For those without known increased risk; includes pharmacogenomics and cardiac-related genes
If you have questions about mammography and genomics, please call the Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine at (847) 570-GENE (4363) to learn more.
*Available in Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Skokie and Swedish Hospital service areas.

If you have a family history of breast cancer or other risk factors, our team provides personalized guidance, earlier screening options and genetic counseling. We'll help determine what screenings are right for you and connect you to ongoing care.
