Welcome to Endeavor Health. NorthShore University HealthSystem, Edward-Elmhurst Health, Swedish Hospital and Northwest Community Healthcare are now united under one name: Endeavor Health. Together, we’re committed to setting a new standard for healthcare by delivering a truly personal patient experience combined with convenient access to pioneering, world-class care.

As a newly combined health system, changing our name and unifying our brand is the next step in our evolution to help unite our teams and bring our mission, vision and values to life. Our name captures the very best of who we are. It differentiates us as one system unified in our endeavor to deliver convenient access to pioneering, world-class care combined with the seamless, personal experience we all desire and deserve.

You will continue to receive the expert care and high-quality services you do today, delivered by the providers you know and trust, while benefiting from broader access to specialties and sub-specialties, conveniently connected across our more than 300 clinic locations, five clinical institutes and nine award-winning hospitals (Edward, Elmhurst, Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Northwest Community, Skokie, Swedish and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital). All eight of our acute care hospitals are Magnet recognized for nursing excellence.

Our clinic/ambulatory centers, corporate locations and single medical group will all come together under the Endeavor Health brand, while our local hospitals' names will stay the same, as a part of Endeavor Health.

With an unyielding focus on transforming the future of healthcare, Endeavor Health also serves as a leading hub for research and innovation close to home with more than 550 active clinical trials and the nation’s largest primary care-embedded clinical genomics program.

Be assured that your patient portal’s access, functionality and security have not changed. If you have separate accounts on these patient portals, your account credentials will stay the same on those portals. Access to medical records also remains unchanged. Learn more about medical records and patient portal access.

You will begin to see the Endeavor Health name, logo and colors reflected in your patient portal if you have an account for: Edward-Elmhurst Health MyChart, NCH MyChart and NorthShoreConnect.

Unfortunately, not at this time. It will take time to create one unified patient portal for all Endeavor Health patients. Until then, you can create a separate account on Edward-Elmhurst Health MyChart, NCH MyChart and NorthShoreConnect to schedule appointments or access your medical information with clinicians or services in those service areas.

An endeavor represents a collaborative journey; a worthwhile undertaking. As one system and one team, we are on a journey to set a new standard for healthcare and fulfill our mission and vision to help everyone in our communities be their best through an experience that is safe, seamless and personal for every person, every time. At Endeavor Health, you don’t need to choose between compassionate, empathetic care and access to world-class expertise, innovation and research. We’re connecting it all for you seamlessly in your communities. 

The complete transition to our new brand will take several years with the majority of rebranding being completed by the end of 2026. We are focused first on the pieces that most unify our teams and inform our patients — starting with our websites sharing information about the new brand, temporary signage and new patient forms. You’ll start to see television, print and digital advertising in early 2024. Over time, we’ll continue to update signage, fleet and gradually migrate to a single presence across key channels, including websites and social media profiles.

Understanding insurance coverage can be complex, so it is important to verify if our healthcare professionals and services are covered by your health insurance plan prior to scheduling your visit or procedure.

The easiest way to verify your coverage is by either calling the number on your insurance card or confirming coverage through your insurance company’s website or mobile app.

A few additional things to know:

  • Always confirm with your health insurance company which healthcare providers, hospitals, services and procedures are in your network and how using an in-network provider can affect out-of-pocket costs.
  • Each health insurance plan has different benefits, so it is important to know your plan’s rules for referrals and authorizations.
  • Some health insurance plans require you to use a specific network of providers for behavioral health services, so contact your health insurance plan to confirm your behavioral health coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Visit an immediate care center for non-life-threatening concerns like sore throat, minor cuts or burns, allergies or sprains. Our licensed providers can also perform lab tests, imaging and vaccinations as needed.

Go to an emergency department if you are experiencing serious symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, confusion or a head or neck injury.

Immediate Care Centers, open 7 days a week, are great for everyday illnesses and injuries — like sore throats, fevers, cuts, sprains, or fractures. We treat a wide range of issues for patients of all ages.

Orthopaedic Immediate Care Centers focus specifically on injuries to bones, joints, and muscles. If you’ve had a sports injury, think you might have a more serious fracture, or are dealing with ongoing joint or muscle pain, these centers offer expert care from orthopaedic specialists.

Both Centers treat sports injuries and fractures, you may also consider your preference for, location, hours of operation and the type of provider.

We treat patients of all ages — infants, children, teens, adults and older adults.

Appointments are not required, however, saving your spot in line will save time. All our immediate care locations accept walk-ins.
