Expert collaboration in your community

The Chicagoland Children’s Health Alliance (CCHA) provides expanded pediatric care coverage by connecting families with leading pediatric specialists across the region. The partnership between Endeavor Health, Advocate Children’s Hospital and University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital brings you the expertise of world-class institutions, with the convenience of local access, eliminating the need to travel into the city.

Care coordination and referrals

If your child needs to see a specialist, your pediatrician will help coordinate the referral and ensure a smooth handoff. Our pediatric subspecialists are experienced in working with families through complex diagnoses and treatments, always centering care on your child’s comfort and needs.

Pediatric Special Procedure Area (PSPA)

Located adjacent to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Endeavor Health Edward Hospital and in the Pediatric Unit at Endeavor Health Evanston Hospital, the PSPA offers a calm, child-centered environment for outpatient procedures, infusion therapies and diagnostic testing. 

Our Child Life specialists and nursing team help prepare your child for what to expect and make the experience as easy as possible for your family.

Tests and treatments may include:

  • Infusions for treatment of medical conditions and IV therapy (ordered by your primary care physician)
  • Sedated radiology testing such as MRI or CT scan
  • Audiology testing for newborns and children
  • Chemotherapy administration
  • Lab draws for children with specialized needs

A nurse will contact you before the appointment to explain the process, what to bring and how to prepare your child.

Therapy and rehabilitation

Our pediatric therapy programs support children with physical, developmental or sensory needs. We work closely with families and specialists to build customized therapy plans that help kids grow, heal and thrive. Therapy services are available at select locations.
