Your first visit with a primary care provider is a key step in taking charge of your health. From there, your ongoing visits will be tailored to your specific needs — from maintaining wellness through preventive care to addressing any health concerns.

These visits address specific health issues, such as respiratory symptoms, digestive concerns, injuries or infections. Illness visits focus on diagnosing and treating immediate concerns, with a care plan to manage or resolve the issue.

These annual visits focus on preventive care and maintaining your health. Your provider may perform screenings, update your immunizations and discuss wellness strategies to keep you healthy long-term.

You may choose a PCP in family medicine who can treat individuals or your whole family, or one in adult care who specializes in care for adults, including seniors. Geriatric medicine physicians are dedicated to the unique needs of older patients. We also offer membership-driven concierge medicine that gives you direct access to your care team.

Do I need a different provider for illness visits?
