Each year, we earn recognition from various organizations through awards related to clinical excellence. Our nurses contribute to achieving patient care outcomes that lead to these honors.
Magnet® achievements
Magnet® recognition, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), is the highest national honor for nursing excellence. This prestigious, four-year designation reflects our deep commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and evidence-based patient care. Magnet hospitals are proven to have higher patient satisfaction, lower mortality and readmission rates, and greater nurse engagement and retention. Achieving this recognition requires a rigorous evaluation process involving staff and leadership at all levels.
All eight of Endeavor Health’s acute care hospitals have earned Magnet designation. Of the nation’s 6,000+ hospitals, only ten percent are recognized as Magnet facilities by the ANCC. This honor highlights the professionalism, innovation, and dedication of our nurses, who continually set new standards in clinical outcomes and compassionate care.

Shared leadership and shared governance are both forms of participatory decision making. Tim Porter-O’Grady defines shared governance as a professional practice model, founded on the cornerstone principles of partnership, equity, accountability, and ownership that form a culturally sensitive and empowering framework, enabling sustainable and accountability-based decisions to support an interdisciplinary design for excellent patient care. The outcome of shared leadership and professional governance is a dynamic staff-leader partnership that promotes collaboration, shared decision making, accountability for improving quality of care and safety, and enhancing work life.
The DAISY Award® is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day.
We recognize our nurses with this special honor for not only clinical skill but also the human connection nurses create through their kindness, compassion, and dedication to patient care.
