Processing times

Medications that require provider approval, prior authorization or are controlled substances may take longer — potentially 1 to 2 additional weeks depending on your insurance plan.
Understanding your test results
We believe you should have your health information as soon as possible. Federal transparency rules also require us to make your test results available to you as soon as they are ready. However, Illinois law provides exceptions for certain types of tests, which may affect when those specific results are released. Because of these rules, you may see your results in MyEndeavor before your provider has had a chance to review them.
To view your results, log in to MyEndeavor and select Test Results from the main menu.
To view your results:
- Log in to MyEndeavor.
- Open the main menu, scroll to the My Record section and select Test Results.
Different tests have different processing times. Typical timeframes include:
- Routine blood tests: 1–3 days
- Imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI): 2–5 days
- Specialty or advanced labs: 5–7 days
- Pathology/biopsies: 5–14 days
Note: The timeframes above are approximate and may vary depending on volume and provider availability.
Managing your results notifications
Most test results are automatically released to your account as soon as they are ready. However, you can choose to delay them to give your care team more time to review them.
To adjust your settings:
- Log in to MyEndeavor.
- Open the main menu, scroll to the My Record section and select Test Results.
- In the Settings and filters box, click Test results preferences.
- Select your preference and click the Confirm button.
Once your test results are available, your provider will review them and send you a message through MyEndeavor explaining what they mean and outlining any next steps. You can typically expect this message within 2–4 business days.
If something urgent is found, your care team will contact you as soon as possible, often by phone. You may also receive a phone call if your results require a quick follow-up or a change in your care.
If you have questions or do not hear from your provider within the typical timeframe, use the Message Center to contact your care team.
To give you a complete picture of your health, results from tests performed at outside organizations may also appear in MyEndeavor. These test results will feature a small "e" icon next to the doctor's name to show they came from an organization outside of Endeavor Health.
