Therapeutic approach

Living with anxiety or OCD can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone. We offer proven, evidence-based treatments and therapies that help you understand your symptoms, develop practical coping strategies and skills for a healthy lifestyle, and regain a sense of control.

These therapeutic approaches may include:

  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT): Helps you develop healthy coping skills to understand and manage distressing anxiety symptoms. This therapy encourages decisions that align with your values and goals, empowering you to build the life you want for yourself.
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT): Encourages you to be present with anxious thoughts and feelings, make space for them and commit to actions guided by your values. ACT helps you take intentional steps toward living the life you desire, even when anxiety is present.
  • Exposure therapy: Helps you challenge your anxiety or OCD by gradually and safely facing your fears, uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. This process helps reduce avoidance behaviors and empowers you to regain control.
  • Expressive therapy: Offers creative ways to process traumatic experiences and related emotions when words are difficult. Activities like art, music or movement therapy can help you explore feelings, reduce stress and foster healing in a supportive way.

Anxiety & OCD services

Our care for anxiety and OCD is designed to help you change your relationship with anxiety and obsessive thoughts, and build the skills to live a full and meaningful life even when these challenges are present. We emphasize that you don't have to wait for anxiety to disappear to pursue what matters to you.

Our approach focuses on identifying your values, making meaningful choices and building a lifestyle that supports effective anxiety management. We guide you with present-focused strategies and skills to lessen the impact of unwanted thoughts and anxiety, and help you move toward the life you desire.

We offer the following specialized programs:

Comprehensive, skills-based care to help adults manage anxiety or OCD and build effective coping mechanisms. We focus on practical strategies applicable to adult responsibilities and goals for a more fulfilling life.

Specialized care for adolescents experiencing anxiety or OCD, addressing these conditions within their unique developmental context. We provide a supportive setting to learn skills for managing symptoms, navigating school and social life, and building self-assurance.

Specialized care for adults 55 and older experiencing anxiety or other mood disorders related to the challenges of aging. We provide a structured, supportive environment to learn practical coping skills, reduce worry and enhance your quality of life.

Specialized support for adolescents on the autism spectrum who are also dealing with anxiety, depression or other mood disorders. Our clinicians understand the unique challenges of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) level 1 and help adolescents build social skills, manage emotions and reduce anxiety in a structured, supportive setting.

Targeted therapy for children who struggle with excessive worry, phobias or school anxiety. This program uses age-appropriate techniques —like play therapy and skills training — to help children learn coping strategies and resilience. It also educates and supports parents so that they can best support their child at home.

Focused programming for children and adolescents who are refusing school due to anxiety or other emotional issues. We help identify the underlying causes of school avoidance and work with the child and family on strategies to reintegrate into the school environment, including anxiety management, peer support and coordination with schools.
