We develop compassionate, culturally competent family medicine physicians who serve as team leaders delivering continuous, patient-centered, comprehensive, cost-conscious health care to individuals, families and communities.
Our program is sponsored by the University of Chicago. Residents benefit from diverse patient experiences, extensive mentorship, a clinic-first hybrid schedule and access to both University of Chicago and Endeavor Health rotations and resources.
The University of Chicago Endeavor Health Family Medicine Residency Program offers a robust academic experience grounded in advocacy, equity and interdisciplinary care. Located in Evanston, Illinois, our residents alternate two weeks in our brand-new outpatient clinic with two weeks on inpatient or subspecialty rotations.
We focus on underserved populations and integrate behavioral health and community medicine throughout training. Educational tracks, subspecialty electives, simulation training and a strong mentorship culture enable residents to shape their training to their career goals.

Welcome to the Endeavor Health Family Medicine Residency Program.
Our mission is to train compassionate, structurally competent physicians who lead in team-based, patient-centered care. We emphasize health equity, advocacy, and a strong connection to the community.
The three-year program supports 18 residents in a non-traditional “clinic-first” model with a 2x2 hybrid schedule. In 2025, we opened a new clinic on the Evanston Hospital campus, unifying inpatient and outpatient training in a single site that serves a diverse patient population.
Residents benefit from six elective blocks, individualized learning plans, and specialty tracks in areas like sports medicine, integrative medicine, reproductive health, and underserved care. Faculty are nationally recognized, and residents play active roles in leadership and program development.
We look forward to connecting with you.
