Train across orthopedic, plastics, dermatology and neuro-focused podiatric surgery in a dynamic, university-affiliated program with comprehensive board eligibility and cutting-edge lab access.
The University of Chicago Medical Center (Endeavor/NorthShore) Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery is a three-year program designed to train residents in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including orthopedics, plastics, dermatology and nerve/neuro interventions. Residents are prepared to sit for boards in podiatric medicine, foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery.
Founded in 1995 at Skokie Hospital, the program has evolved through mergers and growth in surgical volume. In 2025, the program transitioned sponsorship from Rush University Medical Center to Endeavor Health. Throughout its history, the program has been committed to academic rigor, multidisciplinary collaboration and surgical excellence.
